Versace for H&M

WHY are there no H&M’s in Malta.  Ugh.

Anyway, so Versace is yet another amazing designer to follow others (some past guest designers: Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Roberto Cavalli, Jimmy Choo, and of course, Lanvin, which I freaked over last year) to create a special line for H&M.  The full look book for the collection is out.  I saw it here, featured on Fashionolgie.com.

I would look extremely over-the-top asian if I were to rock some of the ensembles they put together for the shoot, with all the mismatched bright colors and loud prints (very iconic Versace).  BUT, personally, for myself, some of the key pieces alone would look amazing as a pop of color to go with an all-black outfit.  Me and my obsession for wearing all black…

So you know I love these:

For all my lucky ones at home, the collection launches November 19th.  And as all of the collaborations with big designers, it’s H&M, so it’s incredibly affordable.

Another interesting line is debuting for H&M in December, inspired by the book, “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,” after its badass heroine, Lisbeth Salander.  The line is designed by Trish Summerville (who actually styled Lisbeth’s character for the film), and features edgy, dark looks.

Maybe a little too rebellious for this Girl with a Dragon Tattoo, but hey, I definitely could see myself rocking certain pieces.  Read more about it and watch a behind the scenes video in this article from pursuitist.com.

Don’t you just love how they drew inspiration from an ass-kicking female?  Hell yeah.
