One productive thing I’ve managed to do during my downtime, aka unemployment: come up with some legit go-to outfits.  A current favorite happens to be a maxi dress + casual cover-up piece thrown over + simple boot.

The dress I decided to wear today was a strapless black maxi with a sheer skirt.  This alone can look really dressy, which is not what I wanted for walking around a local beach community with my pup and roommate.  But the comfort and ease of the dress I did want.  So to anchor down the formality that black sheer can exude, I threw on my blue button up over, and paired with my favorite black, studded, hidden-wedge boots (that are extremely worn out because I’m obsessed and don’t know if I will ever have the heart to throw them out).

And, ta-duh!  Now I can feel half as pretty as my immaculate pup.  Isn’t she the most beautiful girl you’ve ever laid eyes on?  Loved spending time with her at one of my favorite places to go in San Diego, La Jolla Cove.
