If you didn’t know already, Coronado is my favorite beach. And ever since I laid eyes on The Del Hotel when I was eight years old I told my mom that that’s where I was getting married. I’ve had a love affair with the place ever since.
I also have a certain love affair for high-waisted bottoms: shorts, denim, skirts, everything. A couple years back when no one really carried high-waisted swimsuit bottoms (or they were just way too damn expensive) I took matters into my own hands and made my own from a granny one-piece I bought for a couple bucks at Goodwill.
Pair it with a structured corset-style top, and ta-duh! Old Hollywood glamour-esque. Like a modern day Marilyn Monroe in Some Like It Hot (in my own mind, anyway).
