With the awards show season kicking off just recently with the People’s Choice Awards on January 9th, it’s no wonder that my favorite look of that night shares a common theme with my favorite of last night’s Critic’s Choice Awards.

Sophisticated silhouette, but with a flirty peplum and a little bit of leg.  Ladylike frock, but with detail revealing a little bit of skin.  High neck lines, but sexy with cut-outs and see-through lace.  Bright prints and floral that pop against black.

Classy, as Emma Watson and Marion Cotillard never fail to be, but with just the right amount of wrong.  I like that.
