Prints were all over the runways for Spring 2013, and even showed up in some collections for Fall 2013. This trend is here to stay, and it couldn’t be more appropriate as we welcome the coming of Spring (anyone else still coping with the loss of an hour’s sleep?).  Below is a look from Monique Lhuillier Spring 2013 that is inspiring me to want to get a lot more playful and colorful this season.

It’s a great way to add vibrance to your look. I personally love mixing and matching, be it florals with stripes, or abstract graphics with a little pop of leopard print.

If my examples are giving you a headache, just keep it simple: pick one piece and build around it. Pairing with denim is probably the easiest thing to do, with either a print top thrown over skinnies, or with a denim jacket layered on top.  Or both.
